Games to play while waiting for GTA 6

GTA 6 launches on 19 November 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series. There is no PC date, which means PC players wait longest. Here is what fills the gap, split by what you are actually craving from GTA: open world chaos, a living world, or a game that respects your time and your wallet. If you want open world chaos

• GTA 5 and GTA Online. Still the biggest sandbox, with a decade of content. Replaying it before GTA 6 is the obvious move.
• Saints Row (2022). Sillier and lighter, with co-op from the first mission.
• Watch Dogs 2. San Francisco, hacking instead of guns, and a lot of GTA's structure.

If you want a living world

• Red Dead Redemption 2. Rockstar's other masterpiece and the best preview of what GTA 6's world will feel like.
• Cyberpunk 2077. After its updates, the densest city in games and a story GTA will have to beat.

If you want to own what you earn

Everything you grind in GTA Online belongs to Rockstar. Rockstar also bans crypto and NFTs on fan servers, so that will not change with GTA 6. The PC wait
